The association has enthusiastic, young members with a desire to engage in social activism, having mainly cultural backgrounds. Educational background of the member is various; it includes student, tutor, lawyer and financial manager. Living in multi-cultural community is considered to be advantage for the members, knowing the importance of tolerance between different cultural entities and breaking prejudices.

The members of the association have been attended nearly twenty Youth in Action and Erasmus+ projects as participants, they were team leaders on Youth Exchanges, and they participated on Training Courses, Study Visits, Partner Building Activities, Evaluation Meetings and Advanced Planning Visits. The members have contributed to numerous volunteer projects in Finland and abroad under EVS programme recently.

The age of the association’s members vary between 25 and 30 thus making them open to learn and share various approaches of non-formal education in intercultural environment. Being involved and supporting interculturality, the staff has developed necessary competences on communication and understanding.

The chairperson of the association is Toma Mileryte, graduated from Faculty of Law, Mykolas Romeris University (International law and EU law). Languages: mother tongue Lithuanian, advanced English, advance Finnish and basic Russian. Former volunteer at non-governmental organisation European Foundation of Human Rights, also treasurer at youth organization Silta in Finland. Has significant experience in organising national workshops seminars at schools for human rights. Participated in numerous human rights conferences. Contributed to the implementation of Erasmus+ projects in Hungary and Georgia in 2016: Project Development for Social Transformation; Learning 2 do – skills and competences for youth employability.

Sahar Bouhafs is a PhD student in Social Sciences, in the department of Developmental Psychology at Åbo Akademi University in Vaasa, Finland. She has an academic background in peace and conflict research, international relations, economics and management. She has around three years of professional experience in project coordination, finance and administrative management in the areas of conflict prevention, mediation and peacebuilding at a grassroots and high-level.
